| Lara offers a unique approach to dressage training centered on mutual understanding and trust! She has extensive training in Europe (Denmark) as well as with European trainers here in the States, and has worked professionally as an assistant trainer, barn manager, and groom with world class horses and top riders. She has years of experience in training people and horses in the art of dressage and brings a broad understanding of all aspects of the sport to her students. Her goal is to help riders gain a better understanding and partnership with their horse in a calm and kind manner. Lessons with Lara are structured to ensure that both horse and rider have a thorough understanding of what is being asked of them, and are never required to do something that they do not feel comfortable with. Lara encourages her students to ask questions, and as much time as necessary is given so that both horse and rider understand how and why an exercise is performed. School horses are available on a limited basis. Lara also offers clinics, where she will come to YOUR barn to teach! Lara travels the greater Portland area to give riding lessons at your facility. She simply requires that there be at least three students. |
