I have made this section of my website in an attempt to further educate anyone interested in Dressage, or anyone
interested in improving their understanding of riding in general.

Over the years I have found that many American riders have large wholes in their equestrian knowledge.  I know from
my own experience that understanding some of the concepts associated with dressage can be difficult, like trying to
decipher some foreign language where nobody can ever seem to give you a clear definition!

The reasons for this are many, some people do not have the ability to explain something that is so much based on 'feel'.
Others seem to think it is some secret right of passage, some hidden knowledge that only the worthy can be enlightened
with.  And many, many more simply do not fully understand the concepts themselves, so they are NEVER able to explain
them to their pupils, and so the cycle continues.

Below you will find several different sections that deal with everything from basic definitions, how to execute certain
movements and training aids, explanations of equine psychology and physiology, and some useful riding exercises to help
horses and riders of any level!
Confused about some terms?  Here are some
basic definitions of common language in
dressage, from the simple, to complex concepts.
Sounds boring or complicated?  Anybody serious
about dressage
must learn about their horses
body and mind, and how we influence them!
Useful riding exercises from Beginner to
Advanced.  Keep your horse fresh by breaking
up his usual routine, and teach his body and
mind!
